Charlie has gained a reputation as a leader in the retained executive search and executive development sectors. He frequently acts as a strategic advisor to CEOs and board members within his client portfolio and is called upon to support the decision process in M&A activity, corporate growth and realignment issues, and organizational strategies.

He has driven the firm's commitment to quality, relationship value, and continuous improvement of "best practices." As a result, Gustin Partners has a rich history of long-term client partnerships, delivering significant value beyond its senior executive recruitment services.

Charlie led the acquisition of Gustin Partners (formerly Venture PSL) in 1986 and established the firm as one of the leading executive search/executive development firms serving the Technology sector. He drove the firm's entry into the Defense and Energy markets and, through the years, has been a highly respected advisor to a range of companies from early stage firms to Fortune 50 market leaders.

In the late 90's Gustin Partners shifted its focus to accommodate the needs of its broad client base, which included highly specialized executive coaching, often providing the executive coaching talent in support of the implementation of global transformation programs.

Charlie formed GP Capital LLC in the early 90's to provide seed capital and professional services to early stage enterprises. In 2007, GP Capital Partners LLC was created to leverage the firm's relationships in the Energy and Environment, Information Technology, Defense and Healthcare Technology sectors.]]>

<![CDATA[David Poor is Chairman of GP Capital Partners LLC.  In this capacity, he provides strategic growth and financial guidance and support to the Gustin client base both in North America and Europe.
 
David, a highly regarded financial industry veteran, brings more than 18 years of international investment banking experience with Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch.  In addition to his experience providing strategic and financial advisory services, his management roles have included: head of Morgan Stanley's operations in Australasia; Head of Investment Banking, Merrill Lynch Asia; Head of Merrill Lynch Technology Banking, Americas; and member of the Merrill Lynch Investment Banking Management Committee.
 
As well as his career in investment banking, David has been involved in philanthropy and private investing, and serves on a number of boards.  He is a senior advisor to The Parkmead Group, a London-based merchant bank, which works closely with Gustin Partners and GP Capital Partners to bring additional international experience in strategic and financial advisory activity for clients.

He formerly served as Senior Vice President of Marketing worldwide for Cambridge Technology Partners Inc. before its acquisition by Novell Inc. Tim was a Managing Director of Integrated Marketing Services for the Cahners (now Reed Business Information) division of Reed Elsevier, after having served as editor in chief and managing editor of several of its business-to-business publications serving the Information Technology and Electronics industries. He started his career as a daily newspaper reporter.

Prior to entering the executive search field, Mike successfully served as National Field Marketing Manager with Data General and as Director of Customer Service with Applicon. He has a BA in economics from St. Anselm College, New Hampshire.]]>

He has over 30 years experience working at early-stage technology companies in Europe and the US in management positions. These include: 1900 Programming, the fifth-largest software house in the UK, which he co-founded in 1967 and managed before selling it to Bovis in 1970; and Computer Modelling, which he founded and managed from 1970-80. More recently he has worked at Access Technology, Inc., CompuServe, Inc., and Avid Technology. He was also CEO at POINT Information Systems and at Sendmail.

He is a member of the British Computer Society and is a Chartered Engineer in Information Technology.]]>

His experience at these companies extended from M&A HR, project mapping, strategic sourcing quantitative competitive analysis, and strategic HR retention projects. Before coming to Columbia, just out of high school, Brook co-founded WebMedia, Inc., an internet startup that developed click-to-play software to exhibit video online that was tied in with a global SMS-billing platform. ]]>

<![CDATA[As a consultant, Frank's clients include a variety of private equity and small or mid-cap companies facing either extraordinary growth opportunities or restructuring challenges. His areas of emphasis are operations analysis, business planning, financing strategy, and M&A advisory work.

Frank was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Raytheon Company. At Raytheon, he focused on driving improvements in working capital efficiency and operating cash flow and, as a result, in Raytheon's leverage and credit quality. Prior to joining Raytheon, Frank served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Wang for the four years following Wang's bankruptcy and reorganization.

From 1986 through 1994, Frank was with United Technologies. During that time, he served as Vice President & Treasurer, Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Senior Vice President & Controller and Senior Vice President Strategic Business Planning & Corporate Development. His prior business experiences were largely in finance, corporate development and international business with Exxon, Penn Central and RCA.

Frank earned a BS in chemical engineering from Princeton University and an MBA in finance and international business from the University of Chicago.]]>

<![CDATA[Jack was President and CEO of Fidelity Management Trust Company (FMTC), Fidelity's investment management company that serves large institutional investors who wish to have a separate account rather than using mutual funds as their investment vehicle. FMTC managed approximately $70 billion in client assets.

Prior to joining Fidelity, Jack was a member of the Board of Directors and the Chief Operating Officer of United Asset Management (UAM), a publicly traded company listed on the NYSE. UAM was an acquisitions company that focused on mid-sized investment management firms. Prior to its acquisition by a South African insurance firm, UAM owned 53 firms whose total assets under management exceeded $200 billion.

Jack also spent 12 years at Baring Brothers, the UK merchant bank, where he was responsible for its investment management activities in the US. He began his career as an investment analyst and a portfolio manager with a focus on Asian markets.

Jack reveived a BA from Boston College and has an MBA from the University of Detroit. He currently sits on the board of several non-profits, is on the investment committees of two foundations, and is a board member of an Asian hedge fund as well as a mutual fund focused on China.]]>

<![CDATA[Bill has more than 30 years of successful experience in the global IT and ICT Services market. Now independent, having established Excelsys as his own consulting business, he spent much of the past 15 years with BT Group.

He joined BT in 1990 as part of an initiative for BT to enter the global IT Services market, and was the founder and CEO of Syntegra, BT's successful global systems integration and consulting business. Bill founded Syntegra and ran it up until April 2003, by which time it had become a well respected competitor in the industry, employing 5000 people worldwide, and producing revenues of approximately $1 billion.

He then took responsibility for defining BT Group's overall ambition, vision, mission, strategy, and plan to take a market leading position in the emerging converged global ICT Services market. As part of that plan, Bill negotiated the alliance between BT and HP, announced in May 2004.

Bill left BT in 2004 and set up Excelsys, through which he has held a number of posts; from 2005 to 2006 he was the founding President of US-based Sprint Enterprise Mobility Inc., a mobility solutions startup venture, wholly owned by Sprint Nextel and during the same period, Chairman of Vistorm Limited, a private equity backed Information Assurance business. He is also a non-executive director of LSE listed Kingston Communications Group and AIM listed AT Communications Limited.

Prior to joining BT, Bill ran several other international systems and consulting IT services businesses, the latest one of which was acquired by IBM and forming a key component of what is now IBM Global Services.

His career began at ICL, then the UK's premier computer manufacturer, where he held a number of sales and management posts, after which he was a co-founder and CEO of a startup venture in early desktop systems.

<![CDATA[Keith is the principal of Keith Powell Consulting Inc.  Since leaving Nortel Networks in February 2000, he has been pursuing the "portfolio" approach in his new career. This portfolio is comprised of four main components: consulting, working on company boards, executive coaching engagements and venture capital activity. 

In all four, he is taking advantage of his knowledge, experience and extensive network in the high-tech business sector.   His clients have included Hewlett-Packard, IBM, BCE, Teleglobe, Excel Communications, Manulife Financial and Group Telecom. 

Keith is also a director on five high tech private/public sector companies as well as the Arthritis & Autoimmunity Research Center Foundation. As a venture capitalist, he is a partner in XPV Corporation, a venture capital company investing in early-stage private organizations.  In addition, he is a keynote business lecturer at the University of Calgary, Royal Roads University and Ryerson University - where he also chairs the CIO Leadership Development Program.

Keith was previously Senior Vice President, Information Services and Chief Information Officer at Nortel Networks, managing a budget of $1.2 billion and a staff of 5000 professionals in 23 countries.  He held this position for four years while the company was going through dramatic growth in both revenue and global expansion.  He joined Nortel in 1980 and was promoted through various roles in customer service, quality, operations, manufacturing and materials.  Prior to Nortel, he held similar management positions with Pratt and Whitney Aircraft of Canada.
 
Keith served on the board of directors of the Information Technology Association of Canada (ITAC) and co-chaired Nortel Networks' Institute for Advanced Technology of the University of Waterloo.  In 1999, He was inducted into the Canadian Information Productivity Awards (CIPA) Hall of Fame.]]>

Gwen was part of the executive team that worked with Sprint Nextel to establish Sprint Enterprise Mobility, a consulting and systems integration business focused on the mobility market space with major nationals as its target customer set.  This involved the creation of a new business with associated structure, systems, processes, and acquisition of a new market-specific skill base. 

Before this, Gwen was a founding Director and Senior Executive on the board of Syntegra, BT Group's global consulting and systems integration business.  She was responsible for a range of business activities concerned with developing the enterprise including marketing, business integration (including newly acquired businesses), people, skill and organization development (including resourcing, human resource and reward management), internal and external communications, and global infrastructure and IT services.  During this time, she helped build Syntegra into a globally operating enterprise with sales of over one billion pounds, and thousands of people in offices all over the world.  

Gwen has considerable experience in the public to private sector transformation of organizations as well as significant international experience, having worked in Europe, Asia and the United States.  Prior to joining BT, Gwen spent several years in IT consultancy, specifically focusing on the integration of organization, people and IT, and worked with a number of global businesses.  Prior to that, Gwen worked with Texas Instruments.]]>

In the mid-1980's, he co-founded McGlinchey & Paul, one of the most highly regarded press and analyst relations firms in the industry. While President of McGlinchey & Paul, Dick was one of the key architects responsible for the successful launch of Lotus Notes and the turnaround and repositioning of Lotus Development Corporation in the early 90's. He has extensive international marketing experience with over 15 years of successful marketing in major European markets. 
Dick graduated from Gannon College and holds a Master's degree in psychology from Kent State University and a Master's degree in journalism from Boston University.

Two well-respected industry veterans, Paul Basson and Frank Juska, will lead the firm's European expansion.  
The company's new offices in Europe will benefit its US-based clients as well as European-based technology firms seeking personalized service and deep industry expertise.  Gustin Partners has provided executive search services to numerous international technology firms including TVM of Germany, ASCOM of Switzerland, and Pesa Electronica of Spain.   
Basson will serve as non-executive director for European operations.  He has more than 30 years of senior management expertise and has served as CEO at POINT Information Systems, a global CRM software company; CMI, a software company in the financial services sector; and 1900 Programming, a systems consulting company in the UK.  His technology experience includes senior management roles with Sendmail, AVID Technology, and Access Technology.  Basson is a member of the British Computer Society, and a chartered engineer in information technology.
As a senior partner, Juska will be responsible for search delivery within the company's European practice.  He has extensive experience in senior executive recruitment, evaluation, and selection within the retained search and software industries, as well as the US federal government.  
Most recently, Juska was a senior member of the mergers and acquisitions team at REBAR, where he had primary responsibility for leadership team due diligence within prospective acquisition targets.  Earlier, he was a partner with Korn/Ferry International, Los Angeles.  He began his executive search career with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell and Company and has served with the U.S. federal government where he was responsible for directing the recruitment of high-level departmental and cabinet-level appointments.
